Empowering wellness and community: supportive programs for a healthier tomorrow
Our drop in space is run primarily by our wellness coordinator, and provides clients with access to a warm, dry space year around 5 days a week. The drop in provides members with access to a local phone, computer with wifi, as well as snacks and coffee. Various programs take place within the space, including movie afternoons, wellness Wednesdays, meal programming, and various other events.
Blood Ties currently provides 25 meals each lunch hour starting at 1 PM to community members who cannot easily access food, five days a week. This program is in the process of expanding to include dinners, made by a full time cook. Eventually this program will be running seven days a week. In addition, there is a dry goods pantry clients can access once per month when other options have been exhausted.
Once per week the Wellness Coordinator provides programming at the drop-in from 1 - 3 PM every Wednesday. The goal of this program is to provide support to clients by offering healthy and fun activities each week. Programming can include movies, local walks, yoga, crafts and various other activities.
